On January 2, 2017, the last day of my holiday break, I decided to set my alarm so I could photograph sunrise. I bundled up and headed to Dartmouth, MA to the East Beach area near Horseneck. The salt air was cold and crisp. I was fortunate that the wind wasn't too strong and the clouds were just about perfect. The tide was coming in, so there was decent motion in the water. All in all, it was a great way to start my photographic journey for the new year.
